Anti-Harassment Policy

BlavFF is a safe space for everyone

Last updated: May 2026

These rules apply to everyone. Please take a moment to read them. :)

BlavFF is a youth-focused mini festival for the furry, cosplay, and alternative fan community, organised by Furosion o.z. Our goal is to create a safe, welcoming, respectful, and inclusive environment for all attendees.

Harassment of any kind will not be tolerated at BlavFF. This policy applies to all attendees, guests, volunteers, artists, presenters, vendors, photographers, security personnel, organisers, and staff. By attending BlavFF, you agree to follow this policy and cooperate with event staff if an issue occurs.

Part 1

What Counts as Harassment

Harassment is any unwanted behaviour that makes another person feel unsafe, intimidated, uncomfortable, threatened, humiliated, or targeted. Harassment can be verbal, physical, visual, digital, or psychological.

If somebody tells you that your behaviour is unwanted, you must stop immediately. If somebody asks to be left alone, you must respect that request immediately.

Examples of harassment include:

  • Bullying, intimidation, or discrimination
  • Offensive comments related to gender, sexuality, identity, appearance, race, nationality, religion, disability, or personal interests
  • Sexual comments, unwanted flirting, catcalling, or inappropriate advances
  • Touching somebody without clear consent
  • Following somebody or intentionally blocking their movement
  • Photography or video recording without permission where privacy is reasonably expected
  • Repeated messaging, calling, or contacting someone after being asked to stop
  • Deliberately disrupting panels, workshops, performances, or activities
  • Mocking, targeting, or harassing attendees for being part of the furry, cosplay, or alternative communities
  • Bathroom policing or harassment related to gender expression or identity
  • Threatening behaviour, stalking, or intimidation
  • Deliberate damage to another person's costume, artwork, merchandise, or belongings

Harassment is determined by the experience of the targeted person, not by the intent of the person responsible.

Part 2

Consent and Cosplay

Cosplay, fursuiting, masks, accessories, or alternative clothing styles are not consent.

  • Do not touch people, props, tails, ears, fursuits, or costumes without permission
  • Always ask before taking close-up photographs or videos of somebody
  • Remember that every costume and character is worn by a real person who deserves respect
Part 3

Noise and Disruptive Behaviour

Excessive noise and disruptive behaviour are not allowed unless specifically permitted during scheduled activities.

  • Screaming in hallways
  • Playing loud music outside designated areas
  • Using air horns, whistles, megaphones, or similar disruptive devices
  • Behaviour that interferes with the comfort or safety of others
Part 4

Explicit Content and Appropriate Attire

Because BlavFF is intended primarily for young people and may include minors, explicit sexual content is not permitted in public convention spaces.

The following are prohibited:

  • Nudity or exposure of intimate areas
  • Sexually explicit behaviour or gestures
  • Clothing or props displaying explicit sexual imagery
  • Public display of explicit artwork or merchandise
  • Harassing or sexually suggestive costumes directed at others

Costumes must appropriately cover areas normally covered by standard swimwear. Artists or vendors selling mature content must keep such material hidden from public view and may only show it to adults after verifying age where legally required.

Part 5

Reporting Harassment

If you experience or witness harassment, please report it as soon as possible. You may report incidents even if you are not directly involved. Retaliation against anybody making a report is strictly prohibited.

Reports can be made to:

  • Any identifiable BlavFF organiser or staff member
  • Event security
  • The designated safety or harassment contact
  • Official BlavFF communication channels

All reports will be handled seriously, respectfully, and as confidentially as reasonably possible.

Part 6

Consequences

Violations of this policy may result in consequences depending on the severity of the behaviour.

  • Verbal warning
  • Removal from specific activities or areas
  • Confiscation of event badge or wristband
  • Immediate removal from the event without refund
  • Ban from future events organised by Furosion o.z.
  • Contacting venue security or law enforcement when necessary

Serious incidents may result in immediate expulsion without warning.
