Additional event information

Photography, video, audio and live streams

At BlavFF events, Furosion o.z. and authorised staff, photographers, camera operators and technical suppliers may create photographs, video recordings and audio recordings. A recording may capture an image, voice, costume, performance, question asked during a programme, name or nickname used during a performance, and the context of participation. Recordings may be made in shared areas, during programme items and in other clearly marked zones; we do not make them in areas where privacy can reasonably be expected.

Purposes and legal basis

We use recordings to document and appropriately present the community event, inform the public about current and future BlavFF and Furosion o.z. activities, create an event report and, where clearly announced for a session, live-stream and subsequently make a programme recording available. The legal basis is our legitimate interest under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR: documenting and communicating our own activities and event. For speakers, performers and other persons where this has been agreed, the legal basis may also be performance of a contract under Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. We do not base ordinary event-reporting footage on a claim that attendance automatically gives consent. If we need consent for a separate purpose, we will request it separately.

Live stream and programme recording

At a session marked as live-streamed, a camera, audio recording and technical backup may be active. The stream may be available through official organiser channels such as YouTube, Twitch, Instagram/Facebook or TikTok; the recording may later be edited (for example cuts, captions or sound correction) and published. The presentation room will be marked at the entrance. If you do not wish to be captured, contact staff before entering; where the room layout allows it, staff will offer a reasonable way to participate outside the camera view.

Recipients, transfers and retention

Only people who need a recording for the stated purposes may access it: authorised staff, media and technical suppliers, storage providers and operators of platforms on which we publish it. Published content may be publicly accessible outside the EEA; some platforms may process data outside the EEA under their own policies and applicable transfer safeguards. We retain unselected working photographs and working video for no more than 90 days after the event; technical backups of a live stream for no more than 30 days, unless needed for a specific request, complaint or legal claim. We retain selected archive or presentation recordings for as long as they have promotional or archival value and review that need at least annually.

Objection and rights

You may object at any time to processing based on legitimate interests on grounds relating to your particular situation. Notify staff during the event or email support@furosion.com. Where possible, include the date, place, approximate time, a description of the recording or a link to the post. We will assess the request; unless we demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds overriding your rights and freedoms, we will stop processing or remove the recording from reasonably available channels. We do not use recordings for automated decision-making or profiling producing legal or similarly significant effects. We take account of the enhanced protection of minors and use particular care with targeted individual images.
